Dr. Saad Zafar is currently working as Director, Riphah Institute of Systems Engineering and Dean, Faculty of Computing at Riphah International University (RIU), Islamabad, Pakistan. He has been affiliated with the field of Information Technology for more than twenty years. His area of specialization is Information Security.
At Riphah he is leading a Secure and Dependable Systems research group. He has been teaching Information Security Management, Security Engineering and Application security, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has been Director of Information Technology at Riphah International University and has provided Information Technology consultancy to a number of organizations. Dr. Zafar started his career working as a Software Engineer at Phoenix Technologies and Polysar Incorporated in the USA. Since then he has been involved in many projects related to software acquisition, development and implementation as software engineer, project manager and chief information officer.
He has received his PhD from Griffith University, Australia. His research is in the area of Information Security. He was affiliated with the Dependable Complex Computer-based System (DCCS) research group which was funded by the Australian Research Council. He was also associated with the Software Quality Institute and the Institute of Integrated and Intelligent Systems at Griffith University. He has received Masters in Software Engineering from Griffith University, Australia. He was awarded Academic Excellence Award for his educational performance at the Griffith University.
Dr. Zafar is a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). He is trained as ISO27001 Lead Auditor from SGS, UK, and ISO27001 Lead Implementer from Business Beam, Pakistan.
He leads Information Security Audit team at RIU. Dr. Zafar has professional memberships with ISACA®, IEEE, and IEEE Computer Society. He is also member of Pakistan Information Security Association.

Khurram Javed is an academician by profession and is currently serving as Assistant Director, Riphah Institute of Systems Engineering (RISE) and Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Computing at Riphah International University. He has been attached with academia for over 7 years and has served as permanent faculty in many prestigious universities in Pakistan. His areas of specialization are Wireless Communication, Networks & Information Security. He has been teaching Advance Computer Networking, Data Communication and Information Security related courses at under-graduate and graduate levels. He is also supervising projects in the domain of Networks and Security.
Beside academic responsibilities, Khurram has been delivering as an Information Security Consultant/Penetration Tester & Lead Instructor, Information Security Certification trainings, under the Professional Development Center at Riphah Institute of Systems Engineering (RISE). He is a prolific information security consultant/trainer and has conducted numerous security trainings across Pakistan. He is a Certified EC-Council Instructor (CEI), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator (CHFI), EC-Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA) and a Licensed Penetration Tester (LPT) from EC-Council Academy, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He leads the Information Security Pentesting Team at RISE. His other trainings include Cisco Certified Academy Instructor (CCAI), Virtualization Security, Network Analysis and Forensics, Panda Gate Defender Integra & Performa, VoIP design, installation & configuration, CCNA 4.0 Discovery, FTTH technology and Creating an effective CSOC.
Khurram is also a PhD Scholar, pursuing his research in the domain of Wireless Communication and Network Security. He is an active member of the Secure & Dependable Communication research group and has published work in international journals and conferences.
Khurram also has professional memberships with EC-Council, IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, and IEEE Communication Society. He is also a member of Cisco Network Academy, ISOC (Internet Society) Pakistan & Malaysia Chapters, ACM Computer Science Teacher’s Association (CSTA, ACM) and Pakistan Information Security Association (PISA).

Dr. Muhammad Yousaf is working as Assistant Professor in Faculty of Computing, Riphah International University (RIU), Islamabad, Pakistan. He is Academic Advisor for MS-IS and PhD-IS programs in Riphah Institute of Systems Engineering (RISE), Islamabad.
He completed his PhD in Computer Engineering in 2013 from Center for Advanced Studies in Engineering (CASE), Islamabad. His research interests include network security, network forensics, traffic analysis, mobility management, and bandwidth aggregation. His expertise is in networking protocols design and their performance modeling. He has number of international research publications in IEEE, ACM, Springer, Elsevier conferences and journals. He has also been reviewer of some well reputed journals like IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, Elsevier Journal of Network and Computer Applications, Elsevier Ad Hoc Networks.
He received ISOC Fellowship to participate in 76th IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) Meeting, Hiroshima, Japan from ISOC (Internet Society) in November 2009. He has also been founding member of ISOC Pakistan Islamabad Chapter. Currently, he is also serving as Vice President of the ISOC Pakistan Islamabad Chapter.
From 2008 to 2010, he worked as Research Team Lead in an R&D project titled as "End-to-End Mobility Management Framework (EMF) for Multi-homed Mobile Devices" funded by National ICT R&D Fund, Ministry of Information Technology, Govt. of Pakistan. Currently, he is also working as IPv6 Network Domain Expert in another National ICT R&D Fund project titled as "Design and Development of Hybrid IPv4-IPv6 Network for QoS enabled Video Streaming Multicast Application".
In Riphah, he is leading the Network Security Research Group. He has been teaching the courses of Information Systems Security, Network Security, Mobile Networks, Computer Communications and Networks, Operating Systems, Computer Organization and Architecture, etc. at graduate and undergraduate levels.
Obaid ur Rehman Manager Compliance & Security,
Information Security Consultant
Obaid ur Rehman is responsible for the deployment of EC- Council’s highly sensitive information security trainings and action plans to its training partners across Pakistan. He leads a team responsible for ensuring that all EC-Council trainings achieve the highest standards and that all participants gain immense benefit from the training.
Obaid also develops, initiates, maintains, and revises policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. He also collaborates with other departments (e.g., Risk Management, Internal Audit, Employee Services, etc.) to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution. Obaid is also responsible for consulting with the Corporate attorneys as needed to resolve difficult legal compliance issues. He monitors the performance of the Compliance Program and relates activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness and
responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures. In addition, he monitors, and as necessary, coordinates compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends and conducts periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed.
Obaid also leads development and Technical co-ordination of Information Technology programs, recommending new strategies for the business, managing the configuration and interfacing with external organizations.
